With extensive training in working with children and adolescents aged 7 and above, I bring a wealth of experience to the table. During my undergraduate years, I interned with a charter school, where I played a crucial role in implementing a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program and helped organize team meetings and program activities. My practicum years in both an elementary and middle school in the Bronx, New York, honed my skills in connecting with young minds.
Additionally, I embarked on a Global Learning Opportunity in Buenos Aires, Argentina – Core Concepts in Child and Adolescent Trauma, where I earned a certificate in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a valuable tool in working with children and families. People have often remarked on my youthful spirit and heart, which enables me to connect effortlessly with young individuals. I have a passion for incorporating play into therapy sessions, promoting emotional well-being, enhancing social relationships, and strengthening communication skills for children and teens alike. My approach to this unique community is characterized by a light-hearted, friendly, casual, and safe environment, ensuring a positive and effective therapeutic experience.
